Oroville is the best to live. We have been here since 2007 and we are so glad we came. There is always something to do, and somewhere to go. We love the lake being 5 minutes away, so we can go camping and boating within minutes. There alot of good people living here too. And I love the people at Liberty Tax Service, They are very fun, friendly and they love kids. They have kids toys, books, movies and several other things for your kids to do while getting your taxes prepared. There are several other businesses in town that are very kid friendly too. It is nice living in a town that has so much for children and their parents can do together. The outdoor activities are wonderful. And that way your kids can get some exercise and have fun, instead of always playing video games. I love living here, and will probably spend the rest of my life here. Thank you Oroville, for all you have to offer.

My Oroville
I have lived in Oroville for 14 years now. This year I have offically lived here longer than I have not. When I first moved here I thought it was a death sentence. All I wanted to do was get out and go back to the city. Now, I'm still a city girl but I can greatly appreciate the other side. My grass is greener. People say the worst things about Oroville (that are mostly true), but no one mentions the good. We have a huge lake, a river running through the entire town, lots of parks, bike trails, trees and beauty. I happen to love it. I have been picked on by people who can't imagine living in a small town like this. Well to them I say I can't imagine not.
My Husband and I live in a neighborhood that is butted up against a bunch of empty land along the river. While taking my dog for a walk around the neighborhood I decided to take a dirt road that lead up into the empty land. So open and beautiful and made for a great walk.
Seeing all that beautiful land right next to my house just made me appreciate where I live even more. We were able to buy a wonderful home for a resonable price that wouldn't have been possible other places.

So even though there are many people who only see the negatives sides of Oroville, I encourage you to look around with fresh eyes. When you are crossing the bridge on Hwy 70 between Montgomery and Grand, really take a look at the scenery (when you are a passenger!) and realize just how lucky you are to live in such a beautiful place.
All of those are less than 10 minutes from my front door. How amazing is that?
